THE Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and the Senator representing Delta South, Senator James Manager at the weekend attended the burial ceremonies of Late Mr. Foreman Idogho and Dame Margaret Ugboma at Uzere and Oleh in Isoko South Local Government Area.
Governor Okowa, who was accompanied by Senator James Manager and some members of the State Executive Council to the burial ceremony of Late Mr. Foreman Idogho in Uzere, described the deceased as a loyal People’s Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart and an astute politician dedicated to the party’s cause in the state, stating that he was attracted to the deceased because of his character and dedication to party affairs, especially during his campaign for the governorship election.
According to him “ l am here today with my entourage to pay my last respect to a man whom l loved so much because of his character and personality, l have come to pay my condolence to the family and people of Uzere on the death of their father and son. Only God knows why it happened, we cannot question God.”, he said stating that “ l know his death has caused great pain to his family and community, but we have to resort to God in this period and pray for his soul to rest in the lord.”

Late Foreman Idogho died in an accident three weeks ago at the age of 50 years and is survived by a wife and three children, he was also a member of the Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) Warri Governing Board.
At the funeral service of Late Dame Margaret Ugboma, the Librarian of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, who is the wife of Dr. Eddy Ugboma a board member at the Delta State Civil Service Commission, and mother of the popular comedian, Bovi, held at St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral, Oleh, Senator Okowa was accompanied by a plethora of dignitaries from within and outside the state, including Senators James Manager, Stella Omu, the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Hon. Leo Ogor, members of the State House of Assembly and State Executive Council, former Secretary to the State Government, Comrade Ovuozore Macaulay, former Commissioner For Culture and Tourism, Barrister Mofe Damijo (RMD) and most Nigerian comedians.
Delivering a sermon at the ceremony, the Anglican Bishop of Oleh Diocese, Rt. Revd. John Aruakpor charged Christians to use their privileged position in the society to preach the gospel of God through their behaviour and win souls for Christ.
He explained that the way we live our lives here on earth will determine where we will spend our eternity saying, “ if your life is not pleasing to God, there is no way you will make heaven at the end of time, if everything we do while on earth does not include God and our fellow human beings, then we will be the most miserable people in death.”
