Delegates From Ibirifo Community paid Engr. Victor O. Wood The Executive Director Planning, Research and Statistics in DESOPADEC a courtesy visit in his office today to brainstorm on how to safeguard, protect, Insure and Develop Ibirifo and all other Itsekiri communities in Ethiope West, Sapele and Okpe LGAs.
The meeting was so fruitful as Engr. Wood being a grass root man knows all the problems faced by Itsekiri Communities outside the 3 Warri LGAs and promised his full support for the continuous survival, development, and protection of the Ancient Ibirifo Community and all other Itsekiri communities both within and outside The 3 Warri LGAs.
He sent his warm regard to all the Indigenes of Ibirifo for their steadfastness in making sure their village is not lost to strangers despite the constant threat and encroachment from other tribesmen in the LGA.
Personally I want to appreciate Engr. Wood for his in-depth Knowledge of Itsekiri problems and his practical way of bringing solution to problems of Itsekiri.
