Leader of Delta State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Olorogun Otega Emerhor (OON) has commended President Muhammadu Buhari over the appointment of Hon Dakuku Peterside as Director-General of Nigerian Maritime and Safty Administration (NIMASA).
The APC chieftain in a statement released in Abuja by his Chief Publicist, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe said Mr President's choice of Dakuku is a clear demonstration of his commitment to appoint credible Nigerians to assist APC National Government in its genuine efforts to rebuild and revamp the nation's economy.
Emerhor described Hon Dakuku as a honest, trustworthy and a committed loyal party-man who with other party leaders did the needful to grow APC in Rivers State.
He said while in the House of Representatives between 2007 and 2011, the new Director-General of NIMASA served in various strategic committees without blemish, adding that Dakuku will clean the mess in NIMASA and restore its lost glory occasioned by the massive looting of the agency's funds by some unscrupulous PDP chieftains.
APC South-South is happy with Dakuku's appointment. We thank President Buhari and his cabinet for this gesture and hoping that more appointments will be allocated to South-South geopolitical zone so as to motivate and boost the enthusiasm of our party's teaming supporters, the statement added.
