Mr lzoukumor Newton has described Chief James Augoye as the hope of Delta State come 2023 as he urge ljaw groups to throw their support behind him.
Izoukumor observed in his speech that the youth of Delta South has been marginalized politically, as he wondered when they are going to enjoy the dividends of democracy?
He reinstated that Chief James Augoye is known for his openness, transparency, integrity, effective collaboration and performance orientation.
Izoukumor assertted that the primary aim of Augoye is to continue with the good governance initiative of our amiable governor Okowa.
While emphasing the need for the ljaws to support Augoye lzoukumor said :
" I want to urge Ijaw group for Augoye 2023 that the good work you have been doing to support Chief James Augoye will not be forgotten, the essence of leadership is that you get to have a vision. It’s got to be a vision you articulate clearly you have articulated very well, on every occasion, you can’t blow an uncertain trumpet they say, but our trumpet for chief James Augoye is a very sound one and a divine product for the project of good governance and effective representation ".
Speaking further he remarked : " We have decided on our own volition to blow the trumpet for Chief James Augoye the Okakuroro of Okpe kingdom, because there is a saying that great person attracts great people and knows how to hold them together .As great men we are attracted to James Augoye not only because of his good antecedents, but because he is a divine project come 2023
Continuing he said : "James Augoye is not tribalistic, he will unite the three senatorial districts, as well as all ethnic nationalities and minority, all will be carried along "
He added : " Having said all these, I am also pleading with the Delta South Senatorial districts never to relent in your support for chief James Augoye come 2023"
He said : " I f we try to get rid of a counterfeit coin by passing it off upon somebody else, sooner or later it will find the way back into our pocket, Figuratively a bad penny is a never do-all-well, the black sheep of the family, that is what they think of me,"
He lamented further saying: "
Delta South politicians clamoring for Ijaw Agenda are still the old politicians convincing the young ones to key into their ideology of Ijaw Agenda .
We use the proverb in reference to a young man who leaves home in disgrace and returns there after a long absence in the hope that all is forgiven, were are the youth in your means aspiring and supporting your governorship agenda, as a party faithful we will never change remember, and this is the time for the Delta central senatorial districts to produce the next governor come 2023
our interest is based on credibility. Chief James Augoye is credible, honest, trustworthy and reliable , this is just our take we have right to our own opinion not withstanding were we are coming from, come 2023 we will shine together.
