In a statement made by the Executive Secretary of the Agency, *Miss Natasha Roli Ajagbawa*, stated that the 2nd edition of the awards is dedicated to *STRENGTHENING DELTA’S DEMOCRATIC FRAMEWORK*, with emphasis on the role of government, institutions and citizens.
Also speaking at the press briefing in Warri the Nigerian oil city, the chairman award screening committee and MD/CEO Mayorkings Agency, *Comr. Temisan O. Louis* hinted that the 2nd Edition is an upgrade on the 1st Edition from Warri South Legacy Awards to it's current title. He stated this edition of the awards ceremony will be well attended by government officials, dignitaries, distinguished personalities, community and various interest groups across the state to discuss plausible solutions to strengthening Delta’s democratic framework. He also noted that the awards ceremony will be exciting and thrilling as a wide range of guest artiste and performances has been lined up to spice up the event which include but not Limited to Mr Paul, Frank D Don, Mc Koliko, Mc Douglas, Mc Parrot and Host of other Rib Cracking Comedians. The event also to feature Musical Stars Like Erigga, Tj Hays,Spako, Kaykiss_UK and Host of other Mayorkings Agency Stars.
In her words, *Miss Natasha Roli Ajagbawa* noted that “Oil City Advancement Awards is the biggest and most subscribed private sector awards platform in Delta State that celebrates and rewards excellence and significant accomplishments of the private and public sector contributing to the growth of the nation due to the stringent and transparent measures and modalities of nominating and conferment of awards on recipients.
The awards will recognize individuals and corporate organizations contributing to the Region’s GDP and Economic Sustainability by way of creating job opportunities and empowerment programs for youths and women.
In celebration of the 2nd edition of the Awards, we have carefully chosen a theme that resonates with the unique realities of the burden of governance facing our Region Tagged *Oil In The City: Issues, Expansion, Impact & Challenges*.
The theme will be discussed by a group of speakers and panelists with cognate experience from various sectors of our Nation. They will present papers and also share experiences which will help in articulating a communiqué to be issued at the end of the summit. Participants will be allowed to engage directly with the speakers through a Q & A session which will be moderated and chaired by technocrats.
