Former Chief Whip of Warri South Council Legislative Arm and contender for Warri South Constituency 1 seat in Delta State House of Assembly in the forthcoming 2019 polls, Hon. Austin Oritsebemigho Tete, says since the creation of Warri South Constituency 1, nobody from the rural area have been given opportunity to represent the constituency, hence the need to correct the perceived wrong.
Hon. Tete who made the statement Saturday August 25 at his community, Egbokodo in Ubeji/Obodo Ward, Warri South Local Government Area while declaring his intention to vie for the Warri South Constituency 1 seat, asserted that it was time to change the narrative.

While assuring that he will make his constituents and youths in general proud if given the mandate, the former Chairman, House Committee on Health and Environment in Warri South Legislative Arm, canvassed for the support of party leaders and delegates ahead of the forthcoming Peoples Democratic Party, PDP primary.

Immediate past Secretary of Local Education Authority, Warri South Local Government and chieftain of PDP, Hon. Griftson Omatsuli assured Hon. Tete of his support and members of the heavily populated Ubeji/Obodo Ward.

Hon. Omatsuli opined, “It will be wizardry if I support other persons outside my ward”, adding that it is time for people of the rural area of Warri South to produce the next Warri South Constituency 1 legislator.
While the Chairman of Ubeji/Obodo Ward, Mr. Peter Ighomuenor assured the House of Assembly hopeful of their support, Our Correspondent Comr. Temisan Louis reports that the Director-General of Hon. Austin Tete Campaign Organization, Mr. Roland Yomere, opined that it was time for the younger generation to takeover representation of Warri South.
He stressed that lot of rumors all over the media space stating Hon. Austin Tete Oritsebemigho has stepped down out of the race for fear of the Governor rumored having a special candidate for the seat.
He noted that in the last stakeholders meeting of the PDP held in Asaba, the Governor gave the charge to all aspirants to go test their popularity in the field and win their various primaries in their LGAs.

The Governor debunk the rumor having a special candidate for Warri South constituency 1 House of Assembly seat stating all aspirants to go for the party primaries come September 2018.
He opined all rumour moglas to discontinue sharing fake rumour and noted that Hon. Austin Tete is still very much in the race and certainly going to win his primaries come September 2018.
He further adviced all aspirants to focus on winning their elections instead of Sponsoring unnecessary rumors using the name of the Governor as their supporter.
